A former Inspector General of Police, Mr Taft Balogun is dead.
A close family source told the Network that the former IGP died around 8:15pm at Reddingnton Hospital in Victoria Island, Lagos.
The source said that his dead emanated from complications from a heart related disease.
The late IGP was born on August 8, 1947 at Ila-Orangun in Osun State,
He was appointed the 21st Inspector-General of Police in 2002.
He was a member of cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Course 3.
