Adamawa: ADC Governorship Candidate Seeks Reconciliation Among Members

News Investigators/ Omar Omarana, the governorship candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Adamawa, has appealed to aggrieved party members to embrace reconciliation and unity.

Mr Omarana made the appeal during a stakeholders’ engagement meeting, on Thursday in Yola.

He said the appeal became necessary following the party’s governorship primary election, which left some aspirants and supporters dissatisfied with the outcome.

The candidate acknowledged the sacrifices made by all aspirants and their contributions to strengthening democracy within the party.

According to him, the dedication, ideas and commitment of all contestants remain vital to the party’s future success.

“I extend my hand of fellowship to every aspirant, supporter, stakeholder and faithful member of our great party.

“I appeal to members who felt disappointed by the primary election to return and contribute to the party’s progress.

“The primary election is behind us, what lies ahead is a greater mission to build an Adamawa that works for everyone. We can only achieve this if we stand together as one family,” Omarana said.

He urged ward executives, youth groups, women leaders, professionals, campaign volunteers and grassroots supporters to reject division and bitterness.

The candidate called on members to embrace dialogue, forgiveness and collective purpose in the interest of the party.

Mr Omarana said political differences should not result in permanent divisions, noting that democracy thrives on competition but succeeds through unity.

“Our strength is not in our differences but in our unity,” he said.

The candidate also reaffirmed his commitment to building an inclusive political movement where every member is respected and valued.

He urged members to focus on strengthening the ADC across the state ahead of the 2027 general elections.
