Purchase Hady Vouchers Through Officially Approved Sales Outlets, NAHCON Advises Pilgrims

News Investigators/ The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has advised Nigerian pilgrims to purchase Hady and Adahi vouchers only through officially approved sales outlets under the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Project for the Utilisation of Hady and Adahi.

NAHCON gave the advise ina statement by its Head, Information and Publication, Fatima Usara.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Hady refers to an animal sacrificed by pilgrims during Hajj.

The sacrifice is usually done in or around Makkah during the days of Hajj.

Common animals for the sacrifice are sheep, goat, cow or camel, and the meat is distributed to the poor and needy.

Mrs Usara warned against carrying out any Hady and Adahi-related activities through unauthorised individuals or outlets.

According to her, the directive is aimed at protecting pilgrims from fraud, scam, and exploitation while safeguarding their rights.

Mrs Usara encouraged pilgrims to use only officially approved channels to ensure that the Hady and Adahi rites are performed in accordance with Shariah and Saudi regulatory requirements.

“State Pilgrims’ Welfare Boards, Agencies, Commissions, and Tour Operators are urged to sensitise pilgrims and ensure strict compliance with the directive.
