News Investigators/ The Senator representing Osun East, Francis Fadahunsi, has resigned his membership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Mr Fadahunsi made this known in a letter dated June 12, addressed to the chairman of the party in Ward 4, Obokun Local Government Area of the state.
In the letter made available to newsmen on Saturday in Osogbo, the lawmaker said he resigned due to irreconcilable differences and unresolved legal crises within the party since the 2023 general elections.
The letter reads, “I wish to formally notify you that I am resigning my membership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) with immediate effect, due to the irreparable, irreconcilable differences and protracted legal battles that have bedevilled the party at the national level after the 2023 general elections.
“This was concluded after consultation and engagement with my political associates, family, and friends.
“It is my wish that you accept my resignation in good faith.”
When contacted, the Legislative Assistant to the Senator, Femi Fadipe, confirmed the resignation of his principal from PDP.
Mr Fadipe said that Fadahunsi tried his best to keep the party going but with no headway.
He said the lawmaker and his supporters would announce their next move soon.
