Mr Lawal said 30 of the suspects were arrested for kidnap, 10 for murder/homicide, 15 for unlawful possession of firearms; 17 for armed robbery; 5 for rape/defilement and 41 for cultism.

According to him, the arrests were effected through coordinated tactical operations, credible and actionable intelligence gathering, stop-and-search exercises, and community collaboration across the state.

The CP explained that exhibits recovered during the review period included 15 firearms; 35 ammunition; six motor vehicles and 11 motorcycles, while eight victims were rescued.

He explained that the recovery underscored the command’s intensified operation against criminal elements and its determination to dismantle syndicates operating within the state.

Mr Lawal, therefore, called on all stakeholders to play their part in ensuring a safe and secure environment, saying that the police and other security agencies would continue to intensify patrols and intelligence-driven operations.

“The command reiterates its unwavering commitment to crime prevention, swift response to distress situations, and the strengthening of partnerships with communities.

“Residents are encouraged to remain vigilant, cooperate with security agencies, and provide timely, credible, and actionable information that can aid ongoing operations.

“The Police Command in Ondo State assures members of the public that it will continue to intensify its operational strategies to ensure sustained peace, law, and order across the state,” the CP said.
