The National Examination Council has released the results of the Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination which it conducted in October/November 2020.
The Registrar and Chief Executive Officer of NECO, Prof Godswill Obioma, who announced the release of the results on Wednesday said that a total N894,101 of 1,202, 992candidates passed the examination at credit and and above in mathematics.
The NECO Registrar said that 33,470 candidates, 12 schools and 24 supervisors were involved malpractices.
The NECO Registrar who said that the incidents of malpractices dropped in 2020 compared to the 2019 figure added that the affected schools have been de-registered for two years for unacceptable conducts of poor supervision, and abetting irregularities
He stressed that the Council would not tolerate malpractices in all its examinations.
He said that a total of 1,221,447 candidates comprising 665,830 were male and 555,617 females registered for the examination.
