BREAKING: Gunmen invade Soludo’s Community, kill One policeman

Gunmen on Friday invaded Isuofia Community, Aguata Local Government Area, where Anambra State Governor, Prof Charles Soludo hails from.
It was gathered that one policeman on guard duty at Soludo’s residence was killed in the process.

The Network gathered that the attack  happened at Afuzo Junction about 20 meters to the Governor’s House.

The source said the gunmen stormed the junction, where security operatives were stationed, inbuilt to strengthen security around the residence.

A security source who confided in our correspondent said that the policemen posted to guard Soludo’s country home had mounted some sand bag about 20 meters to his house in the afternoon on Thursday.

The source said barely a day after the sand bags were mounted by the security operatives, the gunmen attacked the policemen who replied their fire and halted their advance to the Governor’s residence.

However, the police lost a man with another sustaining a gunshot injury.

The source said it was not clear whether the gunmen were angered by the idea of stationing a security post at Afuzo Junction.

“The hoodlums stormed the area, shooting none stop, while residents scampered for safety.
“One police man was however killed in the process,” the source said.
