2 People Die, 2 Injured In Multiple Road Crashes In Akure — FRSC

News Investigators/ The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Ondo State Sector Command, says no fewer than two people have died and two injured in multiple road crashes on Wednesday in Akure.

Samuel Ibitoye, FRSC State Sector Commander, confirmed the incident to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Wednesday in Akure.

Mr Ibitoye said the incident happened at the front of the Vehicle Inspection Office along Fiwasaye Secondary School, Akure.

Mr Ibitoye, who said the crash involved one Tipper, a Nissan vehicle and motorcycle, attributed the cause of the crash to brake failure of the Tipper.

He said the scene of the crash was taken over by the Nigeria Police, while the victims had been deposited at the state hospital morgue and the injured taken to hospital.

The sector commander, therefore, called on motorists to always take good care of their vehicles and check the brake and lightening system before plying the roads.

“As a motorist, it’s behoves on you to take good care of your vehicle because it is very important and significant and patience is the answer as well whenever you are on roads.

“Also, defensive driving should be adopted by every road user . Try and give space for another vehicle to manuover so that everyone can stay alive,” he warned.
