Yusuf Swears In New Anti-Graft Commission Chairman

News Investigators/ Kano State Governor, Abba Yusuf, has sworn in Sa’idu Yahaya as the new  Chairman of the Kano State Public Complaint and Anti-Corruption Commission (PCACC).

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the ceremony was held at the Government House in Kano on Wednesday.

The oath of office was administered by the state’s Attorney General, Mr  Haruna Isa Dederi..

Mr Yusuf expressed confidence in Yahaya’s ability to reposition the PCACC and strengthen the state government’s resolve to fight corruption and promote transparency in governance.

He urged Yahaya to discharge his duties with fairness, integrity, and diligence, emphasising the administration’s commitment to upholding accountability in public service.

Speaking after the swearing-in, Mr Yahaya pledged to justify the confidence reposed in him to intensify efforts in curbing corrupt practices, recovering looted assets, and ensuring justice for all citizens of Kano State.

Yusuf had earlier nominated Yahaya, forwarded his name to the State House of Assembly for screening and confirmation, and the legislature subsequently approved his appointment.

Yahaya worked with the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC), where he developed expertise in investigation, prosecution support, and asset tracing.
