TINUBU SENDS CONDOLENCES TO RENOWNED JOURNALIST, YUSUF ALI, OVER DEATH OF MOTHER 

The Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the February 25th, 2023 Presidential election, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, has condoled family of the Managing Editor (Northern Operations) of The NATION Newspaper, Alhaji Yusuf Alli, over the death of his mother, Hajia Hawau Odee Yusuf.

Hajia Hawau Odee Yusuf, a successful businesswoman passed on at the age of 89 on Sunday and was buried according to Islamic rites in Ilorin on Sunday.

Tinubu described her death as “painful not only to her immediate family but to all who encountered her and felt her warmth and philanthropy” while alive.

The President-elect said in a  statement on his behalf by one Abdulaziz Abdulaziz, from his media office on Monday, that the late octogenarian who died a few moths to her 90th birthday was a successful woman who nurtured her children into successful, responsible citizens making contributions to societal development.

Tinubu said: “I understand Hajiya Odee was a successful businesswoman who impacted many people. Hajiya Odee’s passing is therefore not only a loss to her six children and other members of her family. It is a loss to the community and by extension humanity in general. And that is the significance of a life well spent.

“She helped to nurture Alli and his siblings into very responsible and hardworking citizens as evidenced by their useful contributions in different spheres of life.

“My heart goes to the family at this moment. I pray for Almighty Allah to repose the soul of their departed matriarch.”

The Fidau of then Late Hajia Hawau Odee Yusuf  will hold on Saturday, April 29, 2023, in Ilorin, Kwara state.
