The bandits who abducted the passengers of the Abuja-Kaduna train have released a pathos evoking video where the victims were being tortured.
The victims were kidnapped on March 28, 2022 when a Kaduna-bound train from Abuja was attacked by the bandits.
The AK 47 wielding terrorists surrounded the kidnap victims where they were flogged mercilessly with whips.
The victims were seeing weeping and crying due to the excruciating pain from the lashes on their backs and other parts of their bodies.
A column of wailing ladies led by an elderly woman and some bewildered children were seen weeping in horror.
The woman who spoke in in Hausa called on government to ensure the release of the victims.
She wondered what they did to deserve such a harrowing, inhuman and dehumanizing treatment.
A man who spoke on behalf of the helpless victims most of who were on the floor accused the government of frustrating the efforts of their respective families to initiate moves for their rescue.
He accused the government of being insensitive to their plight saying the Federal Government has failed in it responsibility to rescue them.
He called on the international community powerful and influential countries like the US, the UK, France and Saudi Arabia to intervene in the hostage crisis that has kept them in custody of the bandits for months.
He said that they have been in the custody of the terrorists for this long because of the lack of concern on the part of the Federal Government.
He said, “I am one of those involved in the train mishap. That train belonged to the Federal Republic of Nigeria. The Government has the responsibility to rescue us, but has failed.
“We called on our relations who were willing to rescue us but the Nigerian government being insensitive to our plight did not allow our relations to rescue us.
“This is why we are calling on the big nations of the world such as England, America, France and the remaining international community, the likes of Saudi Arabia, to intervene in this matter with a view to finding a solution.
“Truly, these people don’t have the intention to keep us for one week in captivity. They wanted their demands to be met so that they release us. But Nigeria showed no concern over this matter; she is showing no care.
“We are therefore calling on these big nations of the world, France, Saudi Arabia, England and America,the international community, ECOWAS, AU, to please help and intervene in this matter.
“They should come and help us so that a solution could be reached that will enable us reunite with our families.”
One of the terrorists tormenting the victims said that the beatings and pain inflicted on the victims were small compared to what they plan to do.
He reiterated the terrorists threaten to kill all of them if their demands are not met.
He warned that the whole place would be converted to an abattoir thereby creating the eerie impression that they could he slaughtered.
” You should understand, look properly it is not our intention to , but it is the outcome of what the Nigerian Government is doing.
“They are setting up a committee, a tea party in Kaduna to deliberate on how to rescue these people. They are there, enjoying the tea.”’
“You should know that there is nothing that the committee can do.They can’t do anything. Are you not relying on guns? Your aircraft and your guns are like spider web to Allah. We are for Allah, we are doing it for Allah. We are not afraid of anybody.
“You should know that this is a little that you’ve seen. Know that, if our demands are not met, this place will become an abattoir,” he said.
