News Investigators/ The Chairman, Ward and Local Government Congress Appeal Committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Katsina State, Jamilu Uwais-Zaki, says the successful conduct of the congresses at the ward levels across the state is a sign of victory for the party in 2027.
Mr Uwais-Zaki stated this on Saturday in Katsina at a joint press briefing on the exercise.
He said that the outcome of the congreses attested to the transparency, fairness and level playing ground which the party has given to all its members.
The chairman, therefore, commended the members for conducting themselves in an orderly mannar during the exercise.
He said that the fairness conduct of election had further reaffirmed commitment of the APC to internal democracy, discipline and unity.
Mr Uwais-Zaki revealed that there was no appeal, petition or complaint submitted for consideration.
“The outcome attested to the fairness, transparency and local conduct of the screening committee across all wards,” he said.
On his part, the Chairman of the screening committee Bashir Ibrahim-Boni, said that the screening was done without any problem.
He said that they confirmed the membership status of all the candidates and submitted all the required documents to the committee before the congresses.
Mr Ibrahim-Boni commended the good work of the Local Organising Committee that contributed to the success of the screening exercise.
Earlier, the Chairman of the Local Organising Committee, who is also the Chief of Staff to Gov. Dikko Radda, Abdulkadir Mamman-Nasir, said that the congresses were conducted across all the 361 wards in the state.
Mr Mamman-Nasir said that the committees were given a task of producing leaders for another term who would build the party towards progress.
He said that the work was conducted in accordance with the rules and guidelines enshrined in the party constitution.
“As of today, there is no ward or local government that you cannot access across the state due to improved security in the state,” he said.
