SEVEN PDP GOVERNORS DISCONTINUE SUIT AGAINST TINUBU’S ELECTION

Seven Governors elected on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP who had earlier approached the Supreme Court to nullify the election of of the President-elect, Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has withdrawn their suit.

The states are Adamawa State, Akwa Ibom, Bayelsa, Delta, Edo, Taraba and Sokoto while the Attorney General is the only defendant.

The states filed a notice of discontinuance through their team of lawyers led by Chief Mike Ozekhome, SAN, on Friday.

“TAKE NOTICE that the Plaintiffs doth hereby wholly discontinue this suit against the Defendant herein.”

The listed counsels are Prof. Mike Ozekhome, SAN, Chief Asama Kadiri, SAN. Chief Clement Onwuenw unor. SAN, Benson Igbanoi, Esq, a d others.
