Tragedy struck on Thursday evening as the acting chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party in the Udi Local Government Area of Enugu State, SKB Ogbuagu slumped and died during a meeting.
The party’s LGA Chairman who was said to be asthmatic collapsed during a town hall meeting with the party’s governorship Candidate, Barr. Peter Mbah , at Ezeagu Local Government Area headquarters.
He was said to have collapsed at the end of the meeting while the participants were taking their exits towards the reception area.
A source at the meeting said that Ogbuagu was rushed to the hospital where he passed.
The State Chairman of the Party, Augustine Nnamani, could not be reached for comments as the calls to his mobile telephone line did not connect.
