•••COMMENCES CLEANSING RITES WITH ORO
The traditional institution of Oyo has commenced the major traditional rites for the burial of the late Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Olayiwola Adeyemi 111 who died on Friday night.
A Palace source told the Network that the ceremony started with the release of the sacred sound of Oro for the cleansing rites.
The Network gathered that authorities have also restricted movement around the Palace and core traditions.
It was learnt that residents of the ancient city had scampered out of the core native area in order to avoid being caught in the vicinity of the palace.
The period of the restriction is from 7pm to 6am.
