OWO MASSACRE: THREE SUSPECTS ARRESTED  – OLOWO

Strong indications emerged on Thursday night that three of the terrorists who carried out the massacre of innocent Catholics at Owo, Ondo State have been apprehended.
A trending video shows the Olowo of Owo, Oba Ajibade Agunloye, addressing  a large crowd of protesters in front of his palace where he gave the hint that the arrests have been made.

He assured the youths that Owo has not been conquered before adding that the community is blessed with brave people.

When the Network contacted the Spokesperson of the Ondo State police Command, Mrs Funmilayo Odunlami, she said that she is not aware of the arrest of the perpetrators of the massacre.

However, a highly placed source and an indigene of the community who spoke to the Network on the condition of anonymity said that the terrorists were arrested through “traditional means.”

The source said that the terrorists were apprehended within Owo Kingdom

He said that the police might not respond in the affirmative because it could be that a handover has not taken place.
Darevil gunmen had invaded the St Francis Catholic Church Owo and massacred over 38 innocent worshippers during the Special Pentecost Service.
Several others who sustained different degrees of gun shot injuries are still battling for their lives in various hospitals.
The Federal Government on Thursday said that the attack was carried out by terrorists of the Islamic State for West Africa Province.
