OWO MASSACRE: IJAW NATIONAL CONGRESS CONDEMNS TERRORISTS ATTACK

Ijaw National Congress (INC) Akure Chapter, has condemned in strong terms the unprovoked, dastardly, terrorist attack which claimed many lives with several others injured at Saint Francis Catholic Church, Owo, on Sunday.

The Chairman of the INC Chapter, Hon. Ominidougha Bonsuwe, commiserated with the Ondo State Government, the Catholic Church, the Owo people and the families of the victims on the unimaginable evil.

He called on the security agencies and the Ondo State Government to embark on measures to prevent a reoccurrence of such a dastardly act in the society and ensure that the perpetrators are tracked down to face justice.

The INC (Akure) leader promised the support of the foremost body for the Governor in the fight for the defence of the rights of the common man.

He said, “The Ijaw National Congress (INC) Akure Chapter, Ondo State condemns the unprovoked, dastardly, fiendish terrorist attack which claimed many lives at Saint Francis Catholic Church Owa-luwa Street,Owo,Ondo State.

“The State Chapter, sympathizes with the Yoruba Nation, Ondo State, Owo Local Government area, the Catholic Church and the families of the victims both dead or wounded who are in various hospitals in the State.

“The State Chapter calls on the security agencies and Ondo State Government to be proactive and prompt in intelligence gathering to forestall future occurrence and make sure that these villains, savages,brutes and terrorists are apprehended to face the law.

“Ijaw National Congress, Akure Chapter sees this attack in the State as a result of the frontline and frontal roles,the Governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu plays in championing the cause of justice in Nigeria.

“The Congress in the state will always join hands with the Governor to fight for the rights of the common man.”
