Osun Assembly Member Quits Accord Party

News Investigators/ A member of the Osun State House of Assembly, Adesina Rabiu (Iwo Constituency), has resigned his membership of the Accord Party.

Mr Rabiu’s resignation was conveyed in a letter read by the Speaker of the Assembly, Mr Wale Egbedun, at plenary on Monday in Osogbo.

The lawmaker, who defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) alongside 24 other members of the Assembly to the Accord Party on Feb. 27, cited personal reasons for his decision to leave the party.

“I hereby tender my resignation from the Accord Party with immediate effect. This decision is personal, and I would like to keep the reasons to myself.

“I thank the party for the opportunity given to me to be a member, and I pray that God will continue to guide and bless its leadership,” the letter read.

Meanwhile, the Osun State Mass Education Agency Bill, 2024, scaled second reading.
