A helicopter belong to the Nigeria Police Force on Thursday crashed at the Bauchi Airport.
Findings revealed that the copter had left Abuja at about 16:54pm on Wednesday with six persons on board for Bauchi state and crashed at the airport.
No life was lost in the crash but some of the occupants sustained minor injuries.
The Accident Investigation Bureau, in a statement made available to newsmen stated that the crash occurred around 07:30pm on Wednesday.
The AIB spokesman, Tunji Oketunbi, in the statement said that six persons were onboard the helicopter.
Oketunbi said “There were some injuries but no fatality”.
“On 26th January, 2022, Accident Investigation Bureau, Nigeria was notified by Nigerian Airspace Management Agency about an accident involving a Bell 429 helicopter with Registration Marks 5N-MDA owned and operated by Nigeria Police Force. The accident occurred on 26th January, 2022 around 7:30pm (Local Time) at Bauchi Airport.”
“The NPF helicopter had departed Abuja at 16:54 UTC for Bauchi with six persons on board maintaining 5,500ft.
