NADDC Trains 50 Technicians On CNG Conversion In Maiduguri

News Investigators/ The National Automotive Design and Development Council (NADDC), in collaboration with Jennymond Systems Ltd., has trained 50 technicians, mostly youths, on Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) conversion in Maiduguri.

James Dare, a representative of Jennymond Systems Ltd stated this at the end of the 2 weeks training and presentation of starter packs to participants on Friday in Maiduguri.

He said the training, aimed at building local capacity and promoting alternative energy sources in the automotive sector, lasted for two weeks, and combined theoretical lessons with practical vehicle conversion.

Mr Dare, however, urged the beneficiaries to put the knowledge acquired into practice, saying the completion of the training marked the beginning of their professional journey.

He also encouraged them to train others so that more people could acquire the skills in CNG conversion.

Mr Oladayo Femi, one of the instructors, said the participants had acquired practical skills that would enable them to commence CNG conversion in their respective workshops.

He announced that the participants had successfully converted a vehicle from petrol to CNG during the training.

One of the beneficiaries, Aloma Biliya, expressed appreciation to the government and organisers for providing the opportunity, saying the training had significantly improved his knowledge and skills.

Another participant, Adamu Abdullahi of the National Automobile Technicians Association (NATA), also thanked NADDC and the organisers for the opportunity to acquire new skills.
