News Investigators/ Plateau State Governor, Caleb Mutfwang, has appointed Sir Joseph Ari as the Director-General (D-G) of his re-election campaign organisation for the 2027 general elections.
Mr Mutfwang made the announcement on Wednesday in Jos during a courtesy visit from the Metropolitan Grand Knights (MGK) and the knights of the order of Knights of Saint Murumba, which Sir Joseph Ari and Sen. Simon Lalong (APC/Plateau South) are members.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Ari is the immediate past D-G of the Industrial Training Fund (ITF).
While receiving the group, Mr Mutfwang assured the knights that his administration is not sectional, as it is rumoured to be by some.
He told them that wherever he finds value, he responds irrespective of whatever the group is.
“I want to thank you all, especially people who have been on the Plateau, who have contributed immensely to the growth and development of this state and the nation by extension.
“I have also had respect for individuals irrespective of their background, irrespective of creed or tribe. I believe that whenever anyone has value to add to the society, he should be recognised.
“We officially commenced campaigns today for the 2027 elections, and some of you have been in fora where I said the vehicle that brought me to 2023 spoilt on the way.
“So I had to change vehicles, and so we still solicit your cooperation, and we will be reeling out the campaign structures in the coming days, but we have taken a very strategic decision.
“We have been looking for a worthy person to lead our campaigns, and after much consultation the leaders have agreed that one of you, Sir Joseph Ari, will be the leader of the campaigns,” Mutfwang said.
