News Investigators/ Oyo State Gov. Seyi Makinde,has appointed a former Minister of Aviation, Felix Hyat, as Director-General of Makinde-Duara Campaign Organisation.
Mr Makinde, the presidential candidate of Allied People’s Movement (APM), disclosed this in a statement issued in Abuja by his Special Adviser on Media and Digital Communications, Mr Anthony Ehilebo.
He said mr Hyat would head the National Campaign Management Committee (NCMC), ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Mr Makinde said Hyat, a former chairman of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kaduna State, would work alongside two Deputy Directors-General, Hajia Inna Ciroma and Dr Anthony Aziegbemi.
According to him, the appointments are aimed at leveraging the appointees’ public service experience and political networks to drive the campaign’s ‘Reset Nigeria’ agenda.
“The appointments bring together extensive experience in political strategy, administration and mobilisation.
“Hyat’s decades of public service and wide political network, alongside the experience of Ciroma and Aziegbemi, will strengthen the campaign’s organisation and engagement across the country,” he said.
Mr Makinde also announced directors to oversee various campaign departments, including Mr Mark Jacob for Legal and Compliance.
Others are: Mr Richard Ihediwa for Strategic Communications and Alhaji Suleiman Kankia for Security and Intelligence.
The presidential candidate urged supporters to remain steadfast as preparations for the elections intensified.
He also called on APM members, supporters and friends as well as Nigerians who shared the ‘Reset Nigeria’ vision to remain steadfast.
“We need to work together toward the 2027 general elections,” he stated.
