News Investigators/ Kwararafa University in Wukari, Taraba, has won the North-East Regional Quiz Competition in Chartered Institute for Personnel Management of Nigeria (CIPMN).
The Registrar/Chief Executive Officer of CIPMN, Oluwatoyin Naiwo, on Tuesday in a mail, said that only first position from each of the six geo-political zones would be eligible to participate at the national quiz competition.
Mr Naiwo said that five universities were nominated each from the six geo-political zones in Nigeria for the rich competition.
He listed the participating universities in the North-East to include: Federal University, Wukari; Kwararafa University, Wukari; Modibbo Adama University, Yola; University of Maiduguri and Yobe State University.
Terzungwe Kokoh, the Deputy Dean, School of Management and Social Sciences of the university, expressed satisfaction with the institution’s victory.
Mr Kokoh also expressed confidence in the ability of the participants to emerge victorious in the coming national competition slated for September 2026.
He said that the university was already preparing the participants in the area of ICT for the national competition.
The don said that the university won with 20 points to beat its closest rival, University of Maiduguri, which came second with 15 points.
He thanked the university management for finding him worthy and capable of taking the participating students through the process.
