News Investigators/ The Kogi government has expressed grief over the death of Justice Yahaya Adamu, describing him as a reputable voice in the temple of justice.
The Commissioner for Information, Kingsley Fanwo, said in a statement on Sunday that Adamu exemplified integrity, fairness, and steadfast commitment to the rule of law.
“The Kogi government has received with deep sorrow the news of the passing of Hon. Justice Yahaya Adamu of the State High Court.
“Until his demise, he stood as a distinguished pillar of the judiciary, renowned for unwavering commitment to justice, integrity, and the rule of law,” he said.
Fanwo said Adamu’s contributions to justice delivery earned widespread respect across the legal community and beyond, noting his enduring professional influence.
“The Government notes that, during his illness, deliberate efforts were made to ensure he received the best possible medical care.
“In spite of these interventions, his passing remains a painful and profound loss to his family, the judiciary, and the entire state,” he said.
He added that Gov. Ahmed Ododo said Adamu’s legacy of service and dedication to fairness would continue to inspire future generations.
“The government extends condolences to his family, the Kogi Judiciary, and all who knew him, praying for eternal rest for his soul,” Fanwo said.
