Kebbi South: APC Will Win With 95% Votes, Says Speaker,  Muhammad-Gejere

News Investigators/ Salihu Maikasuwa-Dangoje, Speaker of the Kebbi House of Assembly, and APC Kebbi South senatorial candidate, retired Gen. Jafaru Muhammad-Gejere, have vowed to defeat Sen. Garba Musa-Maidoki with 95 per cent in the 2027 general elections.

The duo said the incumbent senator, who is contesting on the platform of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), would be defeated in the 2027 general elections.

They stated this on Saturday in separate interviews with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Zuru, Kebbi South Senatorial District.

NAN reports that the State House of Assembly and Senatorial candidates spoke on the sidelines of Gov. Nasir Idris’ visit to Kebbi South.

Speaking on the chances of the APC in the zone, the speaker explained that there was no political party stronger than the APC in the zone.

According to Mr Maikasuwa-Dangoje, the ruling party will defeat Sen. Garba Musa-Maidoki, who is currently representing Kebbi South Senatorial District at the Senate under the ADC, with over 95 per cent of the votes.

“If we are still alive till that time, Sakaba Local Government will vote massively for APC. We are confident that our party, the APC, will win the election with 95 per cent of the total votes.

“Therefore, our chances of winning the election are very bright. I want to assure you that those candidates contesting the election in Kebbi South will withdraw from the race,” he assured.

The speaker attributed the massive defection of opposition party members to the laudable projects the Gov. Nasir Idris administration is executing in the zone.

He cited the Koko-Mahuta-Dabai road, which had been abandoned for many years.

“However, when Gov. Idris came on board, he influenced the revocation of the contract and took over the project and it will be paid back by the Federal Government.

“As I am talking to you now, the project is in an advanced stage of completion.”

Similarly, the senatorial candidate of APC in Kebbi South Senatorial District in the 2027 general elections, Muhammad-Gejere, expressed optimism that he would win the election.

He disclosed that the people of the zone were fully in support of the APC due to Gov. Idris’ various developmental projects, which he said had direct impact on the lives of the electorate.

Muhammad-Gejere noted that the APC was confident that the electorate would vote for all the candidates of the ruling party in the state and therefore defeat Sen. Maidoki.

“As you can see, with clear evidence here and there, and with the massive turnout of our people, there is no doubt that APC, our governor, is in total control in the state.

“So, there is no point saying Sen. Maidoki or any other candidate will take Kebbi South again.

“From all indications, APC is on ground, but we don’t make noise. The governor has done a lot, he has executed a lot of projects across the state, this is what is attracting people, especially the opposition, to the ruling party.

“So, there is no political party here except APC. Whoever is saying there is another stronger political party than APC here in Kebbi South or Kebbi State, such fellows are deceiving themselves,” Muhammad-Gejere noted.

He said the large number of people from Zuru Emirate who trooped out en masse to welcome Gov. Idris showed that the electorate really appreciate the governor’s efforts to extend the dividends of democracy to the people of the zone.

He appealed to the general public to vote massively for the APC to enable the ruling party take over Kebbi South Senatorial District and the state completely in the 2027 general elections.
