IPOB Attacks Okorocha Over Insecurity In Imo

By John Ugo, Awka

The Presidential ambition of former Governor of Imo state, Senator Rochas Okorocha in 2023 appears to be facing more huddles as members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) on Wednesday attacked his ambition.

The group accused him of allegedly sponsoring the activities of unknown Gunmen in Imo state.

IPOB was reacting to claims by Senator Rochas Okorocha that he was able contain the activities of the group a sad governor.

The Director of Media and Publicity of IPOB, Comrade Emma Powerful, in a statement said the claims by Okorocha were laughable, disgraceful and unguarded, adding that his tenure as governor in the state was better forgotten.

The group warned the former Imo Governor to desist from any attempt to use IPOB to score political gains or be prepared to face them.

Comrade Powerful said: ā€œOkorocha tried everything he could as governor to stop IPOB in Imo State but he failed. He has included IPOB in the infamous statement he is using to deceive gullible minds in the state thinking he can be allowed to use IPOB for political gains.

ā€œOkorocha was one of the most unfortunate things that have happened to Imo State. His infamous administration as Imo governor is better forgotten. He should not play his evil politics close to IPOB.

ā€œOkorocha collected many lands belonging to the people of Imo State by force, converted same into his personal property because he was running Imo State as a private estate.

ā€œHis atrocities in Imo State are pursuing him and his family including his son in-law Uche Nwosu because he could not advice his father in-law to allow people have their ancestral lands and homes. These will continue to haunt them till eternity.ā€ He said.

ā€œOkorocha arrested our women in Imo State thinking he can break the spirit of IPOB followers. The present administration in Imo State retrieved peopleā€™s lands he took from them by force and handed them back to the owners since then Okorocha hasnā€™t been himself.ā€ He said
