INSECURITY: BUHARI SCHEDULES EMERGENCY SECURITY MEETING FOR MONDAY

 President Muhammadu Buhari has called for emergency security meeting  for Monday.

The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, said in a statement on Sunday that the meeting will focus on reviewing and strengthening the nation’s security network.

He said that the President would brief the security meeting on areas that need more attention.

The statement added that the President had to cancel the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI) new Technology and Innovation Complex as a result of the security meeting.

“President Muhammadu Buhari will on Monday meet with security chiefs in the nation’s capital, Abuja, to further review and strengthen security network in the country.

“The President, who was initially scheduled to commission the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI) new Technology and Innovation Complex, will receive briefs from the security chiefs, and interject on areas that need more attention.

 “The commissioning of the NASENI complex will hold on a later date.”
