IGP REDEPLOYS COMMISSIONERS OF POLICE

·… AS EDO, ADAMAWA, KADUNA, IMO GET NEW COMMISSIONERS

The Inspector-General of Police, IGP, Usman Alkali Baba, on Thursday, approved the redeployment and deployment of the Commissioner of Police in four states.

The affected States are Edo, Adamawa, KADUNA and Imo States. The posting is with immediate effect.

The Acting Force Public Relations Officer, CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, said in a statement on Thursday that Abutu Yaro, has been posted to the Edo State Police Command as the new Commissioner of Police.

According to the statement, the IGP also ordered the posting of CP Sikiru Akande Kayode, as the new Commissioner of Police, Adamawa State Police Command.

He said the CP Yekini Adio Ayoku, is the Commissioner of Police kaduna State and CP Mohammed Ahmed Barde to head the Imo State Police Command.

The IGP, however, charged the newly posted officers to hit the ground running in the areas of crime-fighting and public safety.

He called on members of the public to give support and cooperation to the new Police Officers to enable them perform optimally on their mandates.
