Gunmen have abducted a medical Doctor identified as Dr. Msuega Asema in Ukum Local Government Area of Benue State.
The Network gathered that the medical Doctor was kidnapped yesterday (Sunday) at about 11 a.m while on duty.
He was a medical Doctor attached to the General Hospital, Zaki-Biam, Ukum Local Government Area of the State.
The Benue State Police Command confirmed the situation.
The command Public Relations Officer, SP Sewuese Anene, who confirmed the incident, simply said, “Confirmed, and the investigation is ongoing, please.”
Only recently suspected armed militia group allegedly known as Shitile militia, attacked two communities of Mbaterem district in Ukum Local Government Area of the State, killing over 24 persons.
As at the time of filing this report, the abductors have not establish contact with the family of victim to demand for ransom and his whereabout still unknown.
