News Investigators/ Enugu State Governor, Peter Mbah, has approved the appointment of 101 new aides, comprising Special Advisers (SAs), Senior Special Assistants (SSAs) and Special Assistants (SAs).
This is contained in a statement issued by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Chidiebere Onyia, on Monday, which added that the appointments took effect immediately.
According to Prof. Onyia, seven of the appointees are special advisers, six are senior special assistants while 88 are special assistants.
The special advisers include Dr Fidelis Odo, Inter-Governmental Affairs and Co-ordination; Mr Augustine Okoli, Policy Affairs and Analysis; and Mr Pedro Nwankwo, Stakeholders Relations and Community Affairs.
Others are: Mr Chimezie Nkwuo, Economic Development; Chief Vitalis Okonkwo, Grassroot Coordination; Mr Peter Omeje, Commerce and Business Development; and Chief Sam Nwagu, Conflict Resolution and Mediation.
The senior special assistants include Rachael Okonkwo, Film and Creative Industry Development; Okey Ude, Inter-Party and Mobilisation; and Chinedu Chukwunwike, Party Monitoring.
Others are: Peter Ogbe, Legal and Regulatory Compliance; Chinedu Ozoeluba, Boundary and Land Dispute Resolution; and Frank Udemezue–Small and Medium Enterprise Development.
“The special assistants were assigned responsibilities covering forest protection, market sanitation, health facility maintenance, environmental protection and community development.
“The responsibilities of the SAs include youth engagement, women mobilisation, public communication, infrastructure monitoring, rural development, technology and innovation.among others,” the statement said.
