FIRE GUTS CBN MARKURDI … ONE PERSON SERIOUSLY INJURED

Reports emanating from Markurdi indicates that there is a fire incident within the presides of  Central Bank of Nigeria, Markurdi.


The Network gathered that the fire incident started from the generator house of the CBN and gutter a smaller  office building.


A source who spoke to our correspondent said men of the Federal Fire Service and the State counterparts were seeing putting up concerted efforts to fight the fire which started at 6:45 am.


A top official of the CBN in Markurdi confirmed the incident to The Network but will not say more.


The source said that the fire was caused by an explosion from the generator’s diesel tank.


It was gathered that the one person sustained serious burns.


However, the source said that the fire has been put out.


“It is confirmed that there was indeed a fire incident at this branch of the CBN. 


“The fire was started by the generators’ diesel tank which exploded early in the morning.


“One person was seriously injured even though the fire has been put out.”
