The Edo State Police Command had said that a total of seven persons were killed by the robbery attack on four banks in Uromi, the headquarters of Esan North-East Local Government Area of the state.
The Spokesman of the Edo State Police Command, Kontongs Bello, told journalists that seven persons comprising five civilians and two policemen were killed in the attacks on the four banks.
He said, “Total casualty now seven. Five civilians and two policemen”, Kontongs said
Sources in the troubled community had earlier put the number of those killed at five before the police figure.
Suspected daredevil armed robbers had attacked four banks: Zenith Bank, First Bank, Unity Bank and the United Bank for Africa, and carted away an undisclosed amount of money.
