Dangote Sugar Refinery Donates 300KV Transformer To Adamawa Community

News Investigators/ Dangote Sugar Refinery (DSR), Numan, has donated a 300KV transformer to Bare community in Numan Local Government Area of Adamawa, as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives.

Bello Danmusa, General Manager Operations of the refinery, disclosed this on Tuesday at the inauguration of the Pages of Hope Library in Bare community.

Mr Danmusa said the donation was aimed at restoring electricity to the area, following the destruction of electricity installations by unidentified vandals.

He said the new transformer would be installed alongside the reconnection of damaged electric wires on utility poles across the community.

According to him, the intervention was in line with the company’s commitment to supporting host communities and promoting sustainable development.

“We are dedicated to improving livelihoods, strengthening local economies, and advancing development in communities where we operate,” Danmusa said.

He expressed optimism that the restoration of power supply would enhance learning at the newly commissioned Library, an educational facility established by Dr Lee Foundation to support underprivileged children in the community.

He said that the refinery operates in the southern senatorial zone of Adamawa near several communities across five local government areas.

Mr Danmusa added that the company has over the years implemented various projects targeted at improving infrastructure, education, and social welfare, as part of its CSR policy.
