COVID 19 BITES HARDER …CLAIMS AKWA IBOM STATE PDP CHAIRMAN

The rampaging second wave of the COVID 19 pandemic has taken the life of the Akwa Ibom State Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party, Udo Ekpeyong.

Reports indicate that Ekpeyong who was healthy until his sudden death passed on as a result of COVID 19 complications in the early hours of Tuesday.

Although the State Government and the Peoples Democratic Party are yet to issue a statement on this painful loss, an authoritative source confirmed it on the telephone to our correspondent on Tuesday.

“It is indeed painful that we lost him. The State chapter is aware of this development.

“A statement on this development is expected from the state government or the state chapter of the Party,” The source said
