Court Vacates Order Stopping APC National Convention

An FCT High Court Abuja, on Friday vacated an order of November 18, 2021, restraining the March 26 convention of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Justice Bello Kawu in his ruling, held that a member of a political party cannot sue the party.

According to Kawu, the order of November 18, 2021, has been overtaken by a recent Supreme Court judgement on a similar matter.

With the quashing out of the Court order, th APC, can now hold it’s Convention as planned on March 26, 2022.

The Network gathered that the plaintiff, Salisu Umoru, took the APC, Mai Mala Buni, and the INEC, to Court.

The court fixed March 30 for the substantive suit.
