••• PARENTS OF ABUSED CHILD ARRAIGNED
A Magistrate Court at Iyaganku, Ibadan, Oyo State, had remanded skit maker, Abdullahi Maruff Adisa, popularly known as Trinityguy, in Agodi prison over allegations of sexual exploitation of a 10 year old girl.
The court also arraigned the parents of the victim, Mr Isiaka Ahmed, 40, and his wife, Rofiat, 29,
The parents of the 10- year old child are facing a two-count charge of conspiracy and sexual abuse and exploitation in connivance with the skit maker.
The Magistrate, Mrs P.O. Adetuyibi, did not take the defendants’ plea for want of jurisdiction.
The magistrate remanded the three defendants in prison till July 11 when the case would come up for mention.
The magistrate over ruled the argument by the Defence Counsel, Mr Oludare Adebayo, that Section 41 empowered the court to hear the matter.m
In her presentation, the Prosecuting police officer, Insp Oluwakemi Arowosaye, told the court that the three defendants conspired together to subject the minor to sexually abuse.
