Justice Ngozi Nwosu-Iheme of the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), in Wuse, on Friday ordered that Peter Nwachukwu, the husband to the late gospel singer, Osinachi, be remanded in the Kuje prison.
Justice Nwosu-Iheme stated in her ruling that Nwachukwu would remain in the National Correctional Centre, NCS, Kuje until the conclusion of his trial.
The judgement followed “not guilty” plea of Nwachukwu to the 23-count charge, bordering on domestic violence and homicide, among others, brought against him by the office of the Attorney General of the Federation (AGF).
The judge granted accelerated hearing and adjourned till June 16 at 12 noon for the commencement of trial.
