Operatives of the Ogun State Police Command have arrested all the suspects involved in the callous and gruesome murder of a staff of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Me Kehinde Fatinoye, his wife,  Bukola and son, Oreoluwa.

The killers  set the residence of the couple at Government Reservation Area (GRA), Ibara in Abeokuta, on fire shortly after they returned from the cross over service on new year day.

The late Kehinde Fatinoye was a staff of the Central Bank of Nigeria while the wife, Bukola Fatinoye was a staff of the Federal University of Agriculture (FUNNAB), Abeokuta.

The Spokesman of the Ogun State Police Command, Abimbola Oyeyemi, confirmed the arrest of the suspects on Twitter on Thursday.

Oyeyemi said that persons involved in the killing have been taken into custody including the prime suspect.

“All the suspects involved in the killing of the Fatinoye couple and their son on New year’s eve in Abeokuta have been arrested.”

The Police Spokesman told journalists that the suspects would be paraded before the media at the headquarters of the command at  Eleweran, Abeokuta.

The suspected murderers had trailed the victims to their residence, set it on fire and kidnapped their son and maid.

The Network gathered that the arsonists later threw the son and the maid into a river along the Adigbe-Obada axis of Abeokuta.

The police said that while the maid was rescued the son was killed.

Few days after the incident, the police arrested one Lekan Adekanbi, as the prime suspect in connection with the murder.

On January 7, two policemen, an Assistant Superintendent of Police and a Sergeant from Ibara division were said to have taken the suspect to a hospital after he complained of fever.

Unknown to them, the suspect had other plans as he was said to have pretended like he wanted to urinate after which he escaped.
