Breaking: Gov Ikpeazu’s Former Chief Of Staff, Okey Ahaiwe, Wins Abia PDP Guber Primary, Replaces Late Ikonne

The immediate past Chief of Staff to Governor Okezie Ikpeazu, Chief Okey Ahaiwe has emerged Abia State Peoples Democratic Party Governoship candidate for this year’s election.

He polled 469 votes to win the re run PDP primary following the death of the former candidate Prof Uche Ikonne.

Gov. Goodwin Obaseki of Edo State and Chairman of the PDP Election committee announced victory for Ahaiwe who polled a total of 496 to beat other aspirants.

He said that 516 voters were accredited while 12 invalid votes were recorded.

Mayor Lucky Igbokwe scored 12 votes, Rt Hon Ude Oko Chukwu 12 votes and Sampson Uka Orji -11 votes.
