Breaking: Court Sacks 20 APC Lawmakers For Defection In Cross River  

Twenty members of the Cross River State House of Assembly who defected from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP to the All Progressives Congress, while sustaining their seats in the parliament have been sacked by a Federal High Court sitting in Abuja.
Justice Taiwo Taiwo in his judgment on a suit brought by the PDP against the lawmakers affirmed that having defected from the party that sponsored them to their seats that they ought to have vacated the seats.
The judgment comes about two weeks after legislators who similarly defected in Ebonyi State were also sacked alongside Governor Dave Umahi.
The legislators defected alongside Governor Ben Ayade.
