Some gun men have reportedly gunned down two policemen in a security checkpoint as the dreaded unknown gunmen resume onslaught on securitymen in Enugu state.
The incident happened on Sunday afternoon at a police roadblock adjacent to the University of Nigeria, Enugu Campus.
An eyewitness said the gunmen opened fire on the policemen on stop and search duty, taking them by surprise.
A viral video making the rounds shows two policemen in uniform lying in pools of blood. One lay on the ground while the other lay inside the gutter.
The Enugu State Police Command was yet to make a statement on the incident.
