It was a sad for the Nigerian Police family as terrorists launched an attack on Nasco Police Division, Magama Local Government Area of Niger State killing the Divisional Police Officer and six anti riot policemen.
The killed DPO Umar Dakingari Mohammed, was a Chief Superintendent of Police.

The Commissioner of Police, Niger State Police Command, Mr Bala Kuryas, told journalists in Minna that the gunmen killed three police officers and four members of a vigilance group.
The CP said that the gunmen attacked the police station in motorcycles.
The CP who said that a combined team of the police tactical squad and the military operatives have been deployed to track the terrorists, appealed to the residence to volunteer necessary information that could aid the security operation in the area.
