APC Primaries: Adamawa Announces Results Of Victorious Candidates

News Investigators/ All Progressives Congress (APC) on Sunday announced the results of the Primary Elections for the eight candidates for House of Representatives tickets in Adamawa.

Ahmed Yushau, Chairman of the Primary Election Committee, who announced the results in Yola said the process was free, fair and credible across 21 Local Government Areas (LGA).

He said the committee operates strictly in accordance with the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, the Electoral Act, the Constitution and the Guidelines of the Party.

Prof. Yushau said, the candidates that emerged victorious to represent the party in the forthcoming general elections were Nyampa Zakaria, Michika, and James Barka, Gombi/Hong Federal Constituency.

Kwamoti Laori, Demsa/ Numan/Lamurde; Golfa Mallam, Guyuk/Shelleng; Suleman Gankuba, Jada/Ganye/Mayo Belwa/Toungo and Aliyu Boya, Fufore/Song Federal Constituencies.

Others are Ahmad Salihijo, Yola-North/Yola-South/Gire and Ramatu Bello, Mubi-North/Mubi-South/Maiha Federal Constituency.

Prof. Yushau earlier called on all aspirants and their supporters to conduct themselves peacefully and responsibly before, during, and after the elections.

He said politics should not be seen as a do-or-die affair. “At the end of the exercise, our collective interest must remain the unity, progress, and victory of our Great party”, he said.
