The National Welfare Officer of the All Progressives Congress, Sir Sir Friday Nwanozie Nwosu, is dead.
The APC announced the death of the prominent lawyer on Twitter on Thursday.
“RIP SIR F.N. NWOSU. Words are not enough to describe the monumental loss brought by the passing of the party’s National Welfare Secretary, Sir Friday Nwosu, on the APC family. May his soul rest in peace.” The party said
A close political associate told the Network that Nwosu was admitted in an Abuja hospital and was discharged on Wednesday.
He was said to have returned to the hospital on Thursday for a routine check up where his sickness relapsed and he died at the intensive care unit of the hospital
The late National Welfare Officer of the APC was once a major contender for the governorship of Abai State.
He contested the governorship under the Peoples Democratic Party and lost and later defected to the APC.
FN Nwosu was an indigene of Obingwa LGA of Abia state .
