Alausa Hails Successful Rescue Of Abducted Oyo Pupils, Teachers

News Investigators/ The Minister of Education, Tunji Alausa, has commended President Bola Tinubu, the Oyo State Government and security agencies for the successful rescue of pupils and teachers abducted from Oriire community in Ogbomoso, Oyo State.

‎Mr Alausa gave the commendation in a statement issued on Saturday in Abuja by his Special Adviser on Media and Communications, Mr Ikharo Attah.

‎He described the rescue operation as a demonstration of the Federal Government’s commitment to the safety, security and well-being of every Nigerian child.

‎The minister expressed appreciation to President Tinubu for his leadership and determination in ensuring the safe release of the victims.

‎He also lauded Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde and the Oyo State Government for collaborating with security agencies and supporting efforts that led to the victims’ rescue and reintegration with their families.

‎Mr Alausa further commended the Armed Forces of Nigeria, the Department of State Services, the Nigeria Police Force and other security and intelligence agencies involved in the operation.

‎According to him, their professionalism, coordination and sacrifice resulted in the successful rescue of the pupils and teachers and the arrest of the perpetrators without harm to the victims.

‎”The successful rescue of these innocent children and their teachers is a moment of great relief for the nation.

‎”It reflects the determination of President Bola Tinubu’s administration to protect the lives of Nigerians and demonstrates the growing effectiveness of collaboration among the Federal Government, the Oyo State Government and our security agencies,” he said.

‎The minister sympathised with the rescued pupils, teachers and their families over the trauma they experienced during captivity and prayed for their speedy physical and psychological recovery.

‎He reaffirmed the Federal Ministry of Education’s commitment to working with relevant stakeholders to strengthen the safety and security of schools across the country.

‎Mr Alausa also urged communities, parents, school authorities and other stakeholders to remain vigilant and cooperate with security agencies to ensure that schools remain safe for teaching and learning.
