ABDUCTED PUNCH CORRESPONDENT RELEASED BY KIDNAPPERS

The abducted Business Correspondent of the PUNCH Newspaper, Mr Okechukwu Nnodim, has been freed by his abductors in Abuja.

Investigation revealed that Okechukwu was released in the early hours Sunday after an undisclosed ransom was paid.

Okechukwu was kidnapped by a five-man gang of kidnappers at his house off Arab Road, Kubwa, Abuja on Wednesday night.

The kidnappers pulled down the burglary proof of one of the windows to gain access to the residence.

The men who fired several shots into the air requested for money after which they took him and two sons of neighbour away.

Okechukwu was released on Sunday night and is now reunited with his family.

When the Network contacted his wife, Mrs Oluchi, she said he was back and was resting.
