2027: Work Hard For Tinubu’s Victory, Former Lagos Speaker Urges APC Members

News Investigators/ Former Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Adeyemi Ikuforiji, has urged members and supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) across the country to work for the re-election victory of President Bola Tinubu in 2027.

Mr Ikuforiji made the plea in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria {NAN) in Lagos, on Thursday.

He said that APC members must not take the contest for granted, given the emerging political coalitions aimed at challenging Tinubu’s administration.

“The forthcoming election is not child’s play. There are already coalitions being formed to unseat Tinubu, but we must be prepared to defeat them through our collective efforts,” he said.

The former speaker said all hands must be on deck to secure a decisive victory for the president.

He urged party members to move beyond conventional campaign activities such as wearing branded shirts and caps or decorating vehicles.

“Campaigning goes beyond branding shirts, caps and cars. We must take the message directly to the people through door-to-door and house-to-house mobilisation,” he said.

Mr Ikuforiji urged APC supporters to explain the administration’s policies and achievements to voters at the grassroots.

He said personal engagement remained crucial to winning public confidence ahead of the election.

“We must tell someone to tell someone why Nigerians should vote for Tinubu for a second term,” he said.

Mr Ikuforiji said that Tinubu deserved a second term based on his administration’s efforts to transform the country and reposition the economy.

“Tinubu has done tremendously well and deserves the opportunity to consolidate on the achievements of his administration,” he said.

According to him, the president possesses the experience and political capacity required to address Nigeria’s challenges and move the country toward sustainable development.

“Tinubu knows the onions and has already started transforming Nigeria into an enviable society,” he said.

The APC chieftain said that the economy was gradually responding to  government’s policies, adding that Nigerians were beginning to adjust to the administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

“Things are gradually taking shape, and Nigerians are adjusting to the Renewed Hope Agenda, We need continuity to consolidate these efforts,” he said.

He appealed to Nigerians to support Tinubu’s re-election bid in 2027, saying a second term would provide the administration with the opportunity to deepen ongoing reforms and complete more of its development programmes.

“Nigerians need to vote for Tinubu for a second term so that the gains already recorded can be consolidated,” Ikuforiji said.
