A group known as the Third Force Mega Political Party made up of leaders of Conscience and key stakeholder is set to be launched with the aim of rescuing the country from destruction.

Members of the Third Force Mega Party at the end of their retreat held on Sunday set up a joint transition and harmonization council to consummate fusion of partners and stakeholders.

Also, the actors behind the new party have set machinery in motion to launch the party this month in Abuja

The party in a statement issued on Tuesday by Ms Bilikis Bello on behalf of the National Secretariat said its members met under the auspices of the National Consultative Front, on Sunday, 6th February, 2022 in Victoria Island, Lagos to consummate the various consultations and negotiations among parties and stakeholders aimed at forming a formidable alternative democratic Mega Party to drive the political rescue and salvation of Nigeria through the ballot in 2023.

Among the leaders of Conscience and Eminent Nigerians at the retreat were Prof Pat Utomi, Dr Usman Bugaje, Engr Musa Rabiu Kwakwanso, Prof Kingsley Moghalu a Presidential Aspirant, Senator Saidu Dansadau, Chairman, NRM, Chief Raph Okey Nwosu, Chairman, ADC, Hadjia Najatu Mohammed, Prof Mrs Remi Sonaiya.

Others in attendance were Pastor Ituah Ighodalo, Prof Osita Ogbu, Former Economic Adviser to the President of Nigeria, Dr Sadiq Gombe, Comrade Promise Adewusi,, Former Deputy President of the NLC, Chief Akin Braithwaite, Arc Ezekiel Nya Etok, Lady Khadija Okunnu-Lamidi (a Presidential Aspirant), Sir Olawale Okunniyi, five representatives of the EndSars Movement, five representatives of NCC- LIT Movement.

In addition, other eminent personalities sent in apologies for their absence at the parley were Prof Attahiru Jega, Dr Oby Ezekwesili, Dr Olisa Agbakoba SAN, Comrade Ayuba Waaba, represented at the meeting, Mallam, Falalu Bello, Engr Buba Galadima, Bar Dan Nwayanwu, Hon Dr Olubunmi Usim Wilson, Ogbeni Lanre Banjo, Dr Aisha Lemu, Mr Segun Oshinowo, Barr Mrs Toyin Tokuta Adeoye, Comrade Tony Akeni of the NCCT – LIT.

It was gathered that goodwill and solidarity messages were received from the President of the Nigerian Labour Movement through the President of NUPEG, Prince Williams Akporeha, who stood in for the President of the NLC, Comrade Ayuba Waaba.

The meeting which coincided with the 65th Birthday Celebration of Prof Pat Utomi also took time to congratulate Prof Pat Utomi and others in their struggles for a better Nigeria.

Other key partners in the fusion process, are Rescue Nigeria Project, (RNP), Nigeria Intervention Movement, (ÑIM), Strategic Elements of the Civil Society Movement and Youths’ EndSars Movement.

Presentations during the meeting were made by the National Chairmen of National Rescue Movement, NRM and African Democratic Congress, ADC respectively on their resolve and readiness to accommodate all partners and stakeholders in a fusion arrangement.
