The Special Adviser to Bayelsa State Governor, Senator Douye Diri on Investment, Hon. Jonathan R. Obuebite, has declared his intention to run for the seat of Brass-Nembe Federal constituency in Federal House of Representatives.
The leader of the “Wind Prosperity Dynasty”, picked his expression of interest and nomination form to represent his people at the Green Chambers, on Saturday at the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), headquarters in Abuja.
He said his desire is to go to the House of Representatives is to give quality representation and to make sure that the people of Brass-Nembe Federal Constituency experienced the impact of true representation.
He declared that he would be an effective voice in the Green Chambers adding that, his presence would bring effective, all-inclusive and prosperous representation that would add value and effective leadership at the National Assembly.
He disclosed that he I plans to make the less privileged members of the society have a sense of belonging by bringing fresh and quality representation to their door step.
According to him, the PDP, remains the only vehicle of change with which he will use to bring the needed balanced representation.
He also said that the PDP remains the only hope for the common man in this country come 2023 at all levels of government.
He commended the national leadership of the PDP, the Governors’ Forum of the party, Board Of Trustee (BOT) and critical stakeholders of the party for their efforts, direction.
He said the party’s resilience has made it the most admired by all and is set to regain power at all levels come 2023.
Obuebite further maintained that he has been in PDP, all through his political career adding that he has never jumped nor betrayed his party.
He is of the strong conviction that come 2023, the Federal Constituency seat would be won by the PDP stressing he will bring victory to PDP and the ‘Prosperity Administration’ of his boss , Senator Douye Diri.
According to him, Nigeria is at a crossroads due to the inept and corrupt leadership it has faced from the current administration of APC.
“Let me state this very clearly, Nigerians should be on red alert, PDP is the sure way for us to rescue our dear country from the hand of bad leadership, harsh economy, insecurity and poverty.
“Nigerians should support the PDP at all levels for a better and prosperous nation, where the rule of law and effective leadership will be felt”. He noted.
He commended the quality and visionary leadership of Gov. Douye Diri for giving him the privilege to work with him and promise to work more closely with him as his eyes and ears in the Green Chamber of the National Assembly.
“I say as a former chief Whip and two-term member of the Bayelsa State House of Assembly, member of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association, I’m well-grounded in the art of lawmaking and oversight, which are the primary functions of the legislative arm of government,” he stated
