News Investigators/ Gov. Abba Yusuf of Kano State has extended his heartfelt condolences to the Government and people of Plateau, as well as the family of late Lt.-Gen. Jeremiah Useni (rtd.)
The governor’s condolence message is contained in a statement issued in Kano by his Spokesperson, Sunusi Tofa, and made available to newsmen on Friday.
He described Useni’s death as “a monumental loss to his family, the Nigerian Armed Forces, Plateau, and the country.
He hailed his “legacy of distinguished service, patriotism, and contributions to Nigeria’s security and governance”.
Yusuf also highlighted Useni’s dedication to promoting peace and security in Northern Nigeria and Plateau.
He described him as “a true patriot, who inspired generations with his tireless efforts to promote harmony and progress”.
He prayed for the eternal repose of his soul and encouraged his family and the people of Plateau to find solace in his remarkable legacy.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Useni died on Thursday at 82, following a protracted illness.
